What is IELTS?

International English Language Testing System - (IELTS)

The IELTS is taken for several reasons such as:
 1) pursuing studies in most Australian, British, and Canadian and New Zealand academic institutions. American academic institutions are increasingly accepting IELTS for admissions purposes.
 2) obtaining your visa for the purpose of working abroad & immigration.

It is owned and managed by 3 different bodies– IELTS Australia, The British Council and the University of Cambridge - ESOL.
IELTS tests the complete range of English language skills which would most commonly be encountered by students when studying or training in the medium of English. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. There is an option of either Academic or General Training for the Reading and Writing Modules. The Academic Test is suitable for candidates planning to undertake higher education study. The General Training Test is suitable for candidates planning to undertake non academic training or work experience, or for immigration purposes.

You can take IELTS in over 500 locations worldwide. IELTS is available on 48 fixed dates a year – up to four times a month, depending on local demand.
